Default Dawsonville ?

I have only been looking at Suwanee, Kennesaw and Peachtree City (driving in traffic isn't my biggest concern)
I did find a really neat home on the lake in Dawsonville, but when I did research on the schools and research on this site for info it seemed good but I couldn't find if it was what I would be looking for.

Is it anything like the above areas I mentioned or is it country area? I loved that it was on the lake, but I want to live in a family-friendly subdivision w/ kids everywhere and awesome schools, etc... like the above areas offer.

Will i get that here or just mark it off my list?

Dawsonville is a growing community though still very rural compaired to the other areas that you mentioned. However, it is an easy drive to lakes, mountains... so it could offer more in the way of recreation.

I would look at the Georgia Schools Report card at the Georgia Public Policy Commission website to check into school quality. Personally, I would be a little concerned about the quality of schools in Dawson County.
