Default Loving how Asian Atlanta is!

Just came on this board b.c. I am bored to send some Asian love you guys!!

Me: Franco-Chinese (born to Chinese parents in France--you should see the looks I get when I speak French in public!!)
Him: Franco-Vietnamese

Our story: Moved to Atlanta from San Fran, not expecting San Francisco in terms of diversity--in reality, we got better!

I mean, really, you guys should do more to promote how diverse Atlanta is. I dunno where the misconception is from, but it may help you attract more businesses or at least more students? Who knows, but it's a positive that needs to be shown off some more.

I mean 3 H-Mart, Korean Fest, Japan Fest, India Festival, French-Vietnamese cuisine, Asians in every corner of the metro, Mandarin in public schools, Asian city councilmen, Chinese New Year Spectacular... I even saw a Doraville police car recently with Korean language on it!

Loving how Asian Atlanta is!

This is one of the reasons I'm happy to call Gwinnett County my home. Home of the highest percentage of asians in the state of Georgia. So many asian options to choose from!

I love diversity!

Default That's Right!

It's terrific to see a real positive post around here! I'm originally from New England and my wife is an Atlanta native. We moved back here six years ago and the diversity has really exploded here in Atlanta and it's terrific!

We're huge fans of Hmart and the many Asian business establishments throughout the city. We actually tried Great Wall Supermarket last week and we were very impressed with the prepackaged selection of goods.

We'll be at Japanfest with the kids, as well!

Anyone who's been to Honey Pig in Duluth.... will understand that Atlanta is raising the bar when it comes to LA style Korean restaurants. Two thumbs up

Everybody should read "Unbroken" by Laura Hilldebrandt.
Eh, I know plenty of white and otherwise people who moved to Asia.
