SMH... who is going to pay for it? At the end of the day its STILL going to be at 5 points and the crowd needed to support what GT did with Tech Square isn't going to be frequenting that area.

That's why I think it would be better to make the area GSU but I wouldn't do wholesale destruction of the area. Developers might be more interested if GSU is undergirding the project with its community.

I have never understood what was holding Fairlie Poplar back either. Back in the 1970s it seemed like it was about to take off, but then the city decamped to the north.

Architecturally it's one of the most charming areas in Atlanta.
