Well, I just got back from my first visit ever to the Atlanta, GA area and I must say I was really impressed. The people were friendly, the landscape was beautiful and I had very little trouble with traffic. Thanks so much to the forum members who have been replying to my relocation questions...it's been SO helpful!

Welcome to Atlanta!

I'm on Peachtree here in Midtown right now, and it truly reminds me why I relocated here to begin with. It is absolutely unreal; I for one love it here.

With the awards ceremony being taped here tonight, the energy is amazing. I moved here just over a year ago, and I still envy the newbies. ATL is a cool ass place to call home.

Atlanta gets a lot of bad rep. It is a great city and myself too would love to call it home. I'm getting tired of New Jersey. Glad you are settling in well.

I too moved back to Atlanta this year and am loving it! The city can offer almost any type of lifestyle you want to have.

I think you will find that Atlanta is one of those places that really benefits from getting a bad wrap.

Thus far, it's remained off the radar of many people looking to relocate while secretly developing into quite a nice, exciting, and affordable place to live.

Traffic can be awful - but only if you are forced to be on the roads at the same time as everyone else. Even then, I find it half as annoying as L.A. traffic.

The bolded part above says it all (and I myself have lived extensively in various places around the country and world).

What awards were being given? Sorry to be so out of the loop.
