Question Marietta and Housing Questions

My husband has a new job in Buckhead. Our realtor (based on our wants in a home- pool, basement, 4+ bedrooms) has been sending us links and all the homes are in Marietta.

When I plotted these houses and looked at the Sex Offender Registry, there are quite a few near these homes ($250,000-$350,000 range). I also noticed that there were like six or seven homes for sale, ALL ON THE SAME STREET!!!

I've been trying to do some research on the different areas, but all I get are real estate sites. Can anyone offer info on the following areas:
- Pioneer Woods Sub
- Rising Sun Rolling Acres Sub
- Holly Springs Crossing
- Indian Hills
- Ashlee Oaks (in Alpharetta)

Any info would be welcomed!!

Inidan Hills is a nice family subdivision in East Cobb with a golf course, beautiful pool area and club house. I am not familiar with the others. Your realtor is most likely sending you listings that are in East Cobb with a Marietta mailing address. The schools in East Cobb are excellent. You can search on your own using zipcodes 30068 and 30062 for East Cobb.

Wanted to add that pretty every area it seems in the metro area has a large amount of those on the sex offender registry. I know it scares a lot of people but a sex offender can move in right next door to you once you get a home so I really don't base a lot of weight on the registry when looking at an area. I would though make sure that they are not listed as a "predator" those who are or who have been flagged as repeat offenders. There are quite a few sex offenders listed near my house but when I looked into them only one was listed as a predator and was kind of scary and he did not live close to my house (about 10 miles away). The others were mostly charged with having sex with teenagers and even though I look down on men who have sex with teenagers, I knew and still know a lot of teenager girls who seek out grown men to have relationships with in order to make themselves feel grown up I guess.

Also look at Chimney Springs and Chimney Lakes. Very safe and very nice. Holly Springs is also in very nice area with great schools though not my favorite subdivision. These homes are all in East Cobb which is a very safe area, very suburban (if that is what you are looking for) and very family oriented.
