I've been looking to move to NE Georgia. My family is black and I would like to know which of these cities are best for us.Grayson, Lithonia, Lawrenceville, Dacula, Ellenwood, Snellville or Stone Mountain. I'm not looking for a majority black or white community but some place where it doesn't matter. I'll appreciate all opinions Black ,White or Yellow

I lived in Lawrenceville, right next to Snellville, and right next to Grayson. I don't know that in any of those areas it makes any difference. I don't really know that it would make any difference in any of those areas. If you've got any children that will be attending school then if you find something you like you should be able to find out what school they would be at and find out what the racial percentages are. Some schools are wary of giving those out, but if you explain that you just want to make sure that your children will feel comfortable there then they shouldn't have a problem. In general (especially for elementary school and middle school which cover less geographical area) if the school is diverse then the area around it should be as well, because that's where the children are coming from.

I would say any of these areas it doesn't matter, but Lithonia and Stone Mountain are almost 100% black. I own a home in Southern Snellville near Lithonia and Stone Mountain that I need to sell. I have moved an I am selling 40K under market value (375K) because I can't afford two homes. It is on 5 acres-ride your fourwheeelers or horses. 5 bedroom/3.5 bath for $335K.
