Hello
I got a job at the CDC in Atlanta. So I will be relocating to GA from MD. I was thinking about moving to the Alpharetta area. Does anybody know how far that would be from the CDC (center for disease control) Their address is 1600 Clifton Rd Atlanta GA. If not Alpharetta possible Sandy springs or buckhead. Please assist in anyway you can.

What can you afford to pay? What will your hours be? Are you single, married, kids? etc

The commute from Alpharetta will be the better part of an hour or more if you work hours that will require you to commute during rush hour. A lot will also depend on how far from 400 your house is- the drive to 400 can be tough.

I am a native and know the city very well. The CDC is located near Emory and housing can be expensive. From Alpharetta, you are looking a more than one hour. Sandy Springs is a good area that feels more suburban but will keep you centrally located. And if the CDC doesn't work out, then you will have an advantage and more opportunities to consider. Good luck to you. You will love Atlanta!
