Not aware of any deleted posts. And please identify my "friend"....Are you making stuff up????

No idea what the rest of your post is about. But, all else aside, the ability to "speak ghetto" in private isn't really an asset for you. I mean, i can "talk redneck" but who cares. Poor speech patters and habits, in whatever dialect, in private or otherwise, offer no benefits I can think of.

The bottom line is, in this country, speaking in a proper english dialect, "like a white person", aka the king's English, is the key to achieving high success, with very few exceptions. Athletes and some entertainers can get away with it to some degree, but even that is on the wane.

The thing is, for whites, redneck lingo is a sub culture. For you guys, though, its reversed. "Talking white" is viewed with disdain by many of your community. it's a serious problem, and inhibits your forward progress, economically and otherwise.
What community is this? I am around blacks who speak great English all day so where is the "black community" you are talking about because I am black and I don't see that issue around me nor do I have bad grammar.

Using grammatically-correct English and talking with a "proper English dialect" are two entirely different things and that's quite evident living in the South. Herman Cain doesn't speak like President Obama and Haley Barbour doesn't speak like Mitt Romney, but Cain and Barbour both use proper English.

That's unfortunately the stereotype that comes to mind of municipal, state, and other union workers. Some may argue that's not the reality, but it sure is the pervasive stereotype and what most of us see on a regular basis. It's interesting to note that often it's these same constituencies that support groups like the Occupy protesters and are against any kind of reform in gov't spending. Not drawing any conclusions from that, but they are true observations.

Sometimes it's nice to go back and read past postings to more clearly see the general context of a thread.

Of course, that would involve learning from history...

Spare me. Learning from history involves more than reading. One must correctly understand and appreciate the lesons being imparted. As in the appeasement of a Chamberlin. Or the collapse and failure of any system based on big government largesse. Such are the learnings embedded in my psyche.

We all understand. Big Governments are bad. But so is an overreaction to big government. What ever happened to the middle ground in this country?
