Fall Semester
Early Action 12/15-1/15
Regular Action 2/15-4/1

Apparently for students at the school you visited, they have access to accelerated admissions at private colleges, well in advance of the standard schedules published by the colleges. Perhaps it has something to do with the IB program? Does junior year in IB count like senior year non-IB?

I'm curious and suffering from a bit of cognitive dissonance here, since there's a high-scoring, college-applying high school senior living at my house.
Then tone seems to incinuate that I am lying... so I had to check with a couple of high school counselors. They said that according to collegeboard, students can apply as early as spring semester of their junior year. They also said that most colleges can accept students as early as fall of their senior year. Even if this is the case, they may be "accepted conditionally" assuming they do not flunk out or drop out as seniors...

I'm not sure about counting IB juniors as seniors, but they do have more core hours than the average student by senior year. The grades are weighted, and they have built in community service, ect.

I am only telling you what has been conferred to me. If the incinuation is that the student that claims to have been "conditionally accepted" to Morehouse lied... I can easily verify that when next I speak to that student. But just know he is definitely not the only person to have told me this... When I called Morehouse this morning to ask about this, the admissions secondary said that a conditional approval can be issued in lieu of an official acceptance as long as all the necessary materials have been submitted.

I'm not sure how often this happens, but I am quite sure that it is not impossible.

On another note, although my facts and figures are all not on point, the main points of my original comment on this thread still stand.

Sorry, this is a side issue; I don't want to derail the main thread so will cease this.

I'll just quickly respond that I think my tone was more questioning than insinuating (or perhaps you meant incendiary? )

Your original mention of Morehouse was "Other students in that class have been accepted to SCAD, Morehouse, Etc." There's nothing there about "conditionally" accepted. So it did seem questionable that this claim was in contradiction with the published notification schedule on the Morehouse website. Whatever. It's not really important.
