Atl. man who returned found cash-filled purse gets job offer - Atlanta Business Chronicle

It's good to know that there are still decent people out there in this day and age, especially during these hard times. I created this thread, since people tend to focus on the crime, traffic and other negative things in Atlanta. Lets see how fast this thread blows up and/or gets off topic.

I heard a story on the news (not sure in what city) where an unemployed woman found a wallet with $1300 cash in it and turned it in. It belonged to a guy who was out of work and was going to use the money for Christmas gifts for his family and bills. I don't why people carry around that much cash, but it's heartwarming to see Good Samaritans in action.

Yes it was. There is a video clip in that article that you can watch WXIA reporter interviewing the man.

It's definitely good to see people who do the right thing, just because it's the right thing, and they aren't out for what's in it for them.

Not sure what you are hoping will "blow up" but looks like you might be the one who wants some kind of conflict. The rest of us are glad to see honesty and someone doing the right thing, and that it's being recognized.
