Santa Monica Beach. Just take I-20 west until you get to I-10, and then take I-10 west until it ends. It actually ends right on the beach in Santa Monica, which is why locals refer to I-10 west of downtown Los Angeles as the Santa Monica Freeway.

I can't even count the number of superior beaches you'd have to drive right past before you ended up in Santa Monica!

That's insane. If you were going to be snarky and pick a California beach to try to claim is superior, you could have at least picked somewhere like Laguna Beach or Newport Beach or Hermosa Beach....but Santa Monica????? You may as well say Galveston.

Florida beaches are better than California beaches because the water is warmer but California beaches are prettier

One of my goals while living in atlanta is to visit all the Florida beaches. Anyone have a top ten list?

I've been to south beach in Miami, palm beach, Jupiter and Juno ( the water is clear and clean)

I still need to check out the beaches on the pan handle, Naples, siesta beach near Sarasota.

I've also visited most of the beaches in socal. Are fl beaches nicer than southern california beaches?

Read my post above. The best beach in Florida is pensacola imo. Clear water and white sand. California scenery is so pretty. Mountains on one side of the highway and the ocean on the other side on the pacific coast hwy

For the east coast of Florida, you can literally get on A1A near Jacksonville and drive it all the way to Miami. There are a lot of cool places to see along the way.

Your best choices would be in the Savannah area which is around 5 hours away. Florida is too far away for most people.
