Hi there,

I'll be traveling to the area soon, and I just wanted to get some thoughts on how safe the Sandy Springs area is? I don't know anything about it, so I was just curious. I'm a female who will probably be driving alone, so I'd like to feel as safe as possible! Thank you!

Also, if you have any thoughts on the Piedmont Park area, I'd be happy to hear them as well! Thank you!

Both areas are relatively safe - you should take normal precautions in a major city.

Sandy Springs - very safe.

Piedmont Park - totally safe during the day, probably wouldn't wander around at 2am by yourself.

Sandy Springs is safe for the most part but you may have an occasional fight break out here or there. There are not organized crimes however.

If you are just 'travelling' to the area...Then yes Sandy Springs is pretty much safe, there aren't any real 'ghetto/dangerous' areas of Sandy Springs. The only 'bad areas' of Sandy Springs are if you are moving to the area. And even then its pretty much limited to the apartment communities along Roswell Rd. But just visiting no you aren't going to be in any immediate danger.
