Question Is "Johnny Rockets" Toast In Atlanta>?

Surprised to see the Buckhead location gutted... No doubt the burger wars in the ATL have heated muchly, but I thought J/R's had a fairly solid spot.

The food was good; the theme was cool!

So it goes...

I think I read on WhatnowAtlanta they were pushed out over lease rate disagreements and the landlord replaced them with a new tenant. Don't recall the replacement though.

The new tenant is Lime Fresh...

Get Fresh - Lime Fresh Mexican Grill

They are building a new Johnny Rockets at Phipps Plaza food court... so there will still be one in Buckhead. There are also 2 downtown... 1 at Underground and 1 near the Aquarium on Luckie Street. There is also another location at Discover Mills in Duluth.

They're taking over Bakeshop in Midtown as well apparently. Quite an aggressive expansion.

I remember ordering a double burger there. So much meat! A single is all I can handle. I can't imagine anyone eating their triple.

Pearson's next door to Johnny Rockets just went out of business too. Made me wonder what was going on but I spoke to the owner and he said he was just ready to retire after 55 years in the business.
