I am considering a move to Atlanta from Boston. I will be moving aling with my wife and 2 year old girl. I will be working in Fayetteville which seems like a not so great place to live. Can I get some suggestion on where to live based on the following

1. Commutable distance to fayetteville
2. Good schools
3. Indian community
4. Low crime

Thanks!

Peachtree City is nice and right next door... one of the better communities on the south side of town.

Thanks. How bad will it be counting from Decatur to Fayetteville?

According to map quest, it's about 45 minutes from Decatur to Fayetteville without traffic, so in rush hour you are probably looking at least 1 hour each way.

If you will be working in Fayetteville, you should find a place to live in:

1. Peachtree City

or

2. South Fayetteville

or

3. Tyrone

or

4. The Starr's Mill Area

or

5. Brooks/Woolsey

or

6. The Whitewater Area

County Maps

I hope this helps. Good Luck!

*Do not try to live in Decatur and commute to Fayetteville. The City of Decatur is great and a great place to live (which is why you heard about it and probably asked about it on this site), however, Metro Atlanta has tons of great places in which to live!

Peacthree City is your best bet. That is a really good place to live. Very well respected and safe.
