Atlanta's future is good but it has nothing on Houston.
Got some sources to prove this?

Also, having more Mexicans/Hispanics in place of blacks doesn't make a place more diverse.

Metro Atlanta is one of the top 10 diverse metro areas in America. Houston, Miami and NYC are all more diverse than Atlanta, okay we know that, but that does not mean Atlanta isn't diverse.

Go where your heart is but why bring it up to us in the Atlanta forum? We all know Houston is more diverse........who cares? Every city cannot be the same! Atlanta is what it is just like Houston is what it is!

Honestly I not trying make this into some big race issue , but denying Atlanta as huge black population I don't get. Chicago was the city second most blacks after New York for decades, but now it's Atlanta. I dont know why that's offensive its the truth. Atlanta still doing well compared to other cities so there's nothing to be upset about.

Yes, other races ARE moving here - some in much, much greater numbers than Houston. You do realize that Atlanta is home to the fastest growing Korean community in the U.S., right? We also attract many more European immigrants than Houston does.

It most certainly does. Lower property taxes, utility bills and pollution in Atlanta. Houston can never match our quality of life or our terrain.

Atlanta has lots of blacks, whites, mexicans, and asians. MARTA is becoming bilingual with English and Spanish. Believe me, Atlanta is very diverse.

One think Houston lacks is a rail system as good as Atlanta's.

Just learned something I take back on Atlanta having lack of diversty. Atlanta public transportation is better than Houston becuase Houston is huge in size.

houston may be the most diverse southern city, but dallas and atl are not all that far behind when it comes to diversity - and as someone already stated we definitely attract a lot more european immigrants. i'll have to dig up the stats but i recall seeing somewhere that we have many times the number of french speakers compared to the big 2 in tx, as well as portuguese.
