Default passing lane

If u are new to driving in Atlanta please stop driving slow is the left lane on the interstate. That lane is for passing if the traffic is moving

If you are that scared to drive here then don't drive here because you are messing up the flow of traffic

So true. Or the left lane drivers who wanna act like the police. Move over! You're causing a traffic jam behind you.

And if you're in a right lane and cut in front of other drivers in the left lane to only travel the same speed as the lane you were just in... please recognize your mistake, correct it, and refrain from repeating ever again!

Thanks!!

LOL- Now that you have fixed that problem you need to post something about turn signals.....

Face it, there is an overabundance of stupid people in this country. There is no way to "fix" them so don't let things bother you.

I was just on 78 coming from Snellville and there were three cars going the exact same speed in all three lanes side by side so I couldn't pass. It was almost like a rolling road block and it was pissing me off.

It's a trend all over the metro area. It is as though the right lane is the new passing lane because the left lane is clogged with slow drivers.

Alas, I think this might just follow a trend I have been observing in Miami for a rather long time. There, the left lane seems to be reserved for cell phone users. It's appalling.

It never ceases to amaze me how some drivers are completely oblivious to how their actions affect the traffic around them. If I'm in the left lane and I notice someone close behind me, I move over (when I can) so they can pass. If I'm in the right lane and someone in the left lane lingers next to me and won't pass, I adjust my speed up or down until they are no longer next to me. If I notice traffic piling up behind me, I do whatever I can to create an opening. In other words, I get the bleep out of the way whenever necessary and possible...it helps traffic flow, and I know the drivers around me appreciate it. But some drivers think nothing of clogging up the lanes (even though there's plenty of room to move over) and just. will. NOT. get out of the way no matter what. I just don't get it.

I agree that people here (and in the US in general) should pass on the left and then return to the middle or right lane. The problem that I see here in the south many times is the desire for some to drive so far over the speed limit, that someone driving and passing at 10 miles over in the left lane is considered "slow" and they then feel the need to pass on the right and squeeze in and cause a near collision.

If people would slow the hell down and stay in lane, and pass on the left and then move back over, then there would be fewer problems. To me, the people doing 85 mph and zooming around in the right lane to try and squeeze in to pass me doing while I'm doing 75 or 80 mph are the real problem.

What we need in GA is more enforcement. I travel I-85 to Charlotte at least twice a month and often more. For the most part, there are NO troopers on the road, and only occasionally a local cop from Brazelton or one of the rural counties.

Agreed! Speed limits are there for a reason.
