St Anns is nice...not really cafeteria style and very reasonable..I think $25 per family or $8/person or something like that. Very friendly.

There's a place called Galla's. It has Fish Fries only on Friday's. Beef on Weck as well, these guys are from Rochester NY. They have 2 locations, one in Chamblee/Brookhaven and the other is Dunwoody/Sandy Springs. The place is a little rough but the food is not too bad. Also, talking about Buffalo food, we found a place called Barker's and they have Sahlen's hot dogs. They make them (open flame grill) just like Ted's Hot Dogs. You can even buy them and take home a 5 lb bag. They also have Weber's Horseradish mustard you can buy. a little pricey but once in while it's worth it. We are from the Tonawandas and miss a lot of stuff, especially the mighty Niagara River!

Hey thanks! I actually just found out that Barkers is partly owned by a girl I went to high school with that also lives down in Atlanta area (Amherst high graduates). Very cool. I have to get there soon. But for now, we just left Buffalo and had two weeks of Anderson's, pizza and wings and have a cooler full of Mineo and Sapio sausage, Anchor bar wing sauce, Weber's horseradish mustard and some iced tea I can't find in the south!!

I never thought about eating fish at Catholic churches in the area, but that's a good idea to store away. I rarely eat out, so some good ideas here, folks.

The Southern Crescent (southside) has a lot of greasy fish fast-food joints like Yasin's. and they are good. I don't recall some of these joints up on the Northside. Probably a bit too far for you to go, but to get a local grease fill, give it a try sometime when you go towards I-20 or more south of ATL.
