I moved to apartment in Duluth after absence out of state for seven years. I was shocked. Saw three robberies in progress in first four months. Looking to find another apartment anywhere from Gwinnett to Roswell area that is safe. Apartment rating site and personal visits to a dozen or so apartments is not turning up ANYTHING!

Is there any apartment in this area that is safe anymore?

If you're willing to go as far as East Roswell, try looking at Autumn Ridge, on Eves Road just off Holcomb Bridge. The handful of people I've known there have generally had good things to say about the complex and management, and there haven't been any reported crimes there since April, and for 2009 it had one of the lowest rates of incidents of all Roswell apartment complexes: http://www.roswellgov.com/DocumentView.aspx?DID=254 / . It's older, but seems to be pretty well maintained, and has East Roswell Park literally right outside the back door, and the Centennial Village shopping center with Kroger, Kohls, PetSmart, RiteAid, and several restaurants is in walking distance just across Holcomb Bridge.

Walton Centennial, a little closer to GA 400 but still in the same general area, also had one of the lowest crime rates in 2009, and is somewhat newer than Autumn Ridge.

Safe Apartment Complexes in Sandy Springs/Dunwoody
~~~
<A poster said:>
Here are our assessments:
Archstone Perimeter Park: Good rent prices, nice complex. Floor plans have a lot of angles so there is not a lot of space. Little pantry space in kitchen. Bedroom would not have a lot of room to fit a king size bed.
Dunwoody Place: Lovely complex and grounds. Lots of long-time residents. Very large floor plans. Nice bonuses. Easily can fit a King Size bed in Master. Large closet space.
Hawthorne Gates: Smaller community. Nice size apartments. Angles in apartments make space tough to deal with.
Colonial Grand at Mount Vernon: Older looking apartments. Poor quality and older appliances. Turned off.
Gables Metropolitan: Huge complex >1100 units. Nice apartments, new applaiances. Little pantry/storage space. Near top of price range.
Ashford Park: Nice size apartments. New cabinetry and appliances. Lots of storage space.
Savannah at Park Place: Nice complex but starting to show its age. Full size Washer/dryers included in all apartments. Prices are good.
The Heights at Perimeter Center: New and beuatiful resort-type complex. Beautiful courtyards and pools. At high end of price range though.
