Ok now, you should know better...

You haven't said anything else other than you're looking for an "inexpensive" apartment near MARTA. Was exactly is inexpensive to you? $500 a month? $750? What do you need? 1 bedroom? 2 bedroom? Do you need washer/drier hookups or is relying on a laundrymat ok?

Simply based on "near MARTA, cheap, and safe"....

710 Peachtree Apartments Ratings, Reviews, Map, Rents, and other Atlanta apartments for rent from ApartmentRatings.com

Actually 710 doesn't get super good reviews from folks, but typically more people go online to post complaints than anything. It sits on Peachtree street, a block or so from the North Avenue MARTA station. Utilities are included in the rent. They do not have laundry hookups, but do have a laundrymat. Other tennants are debatable depending on who you are and what your tolerance is toward stuff, but you never hear about massive rapes or burglaries in the building, either.

Hi, all. Crystalblue, may I piggyback on your question about apartments near MARTA? To be specific, I'm curious about: ca.1,000 sq.ft., <$1,000, 1 b.r., <4 blocks from MARTA, prefer zips 30305-09, 30324, 30342. Thanks for any advice. maroon

You said that utilities were included in the rent but I do not see that as listed under amenities on their website.

710 Peachtree is now called Solace on Peachtree. Lane Company bought it and renovated it. The rents have gone up significantly....more than many want to pay to live in a old roach infested building.

I would suggest the Darlington because it is very convenient....although it is much like 710 (minus the renovations). All utilities are included. They tend to have some outrageous rents (studios going for $700), but you have to keep checking back every day because the change prices daily (next day they are $580). You can get a deal if you keep watching the rates on the website.

It's on a bus route that comes often, and gets you to a station in about 10 minutes.

Dunwoody Station apts. have a keyed gate on property to MARTA station. Many indians. Has older and newer parts. Maintenance could be an issue judging from recent reviews.
