The whole case has spun wildly out of control, thanks to the lazy-ass media. Let the legal system do its job.

Shut this thread down now!
But this thread ISNT about race. It's about being convicted before a trial and being subject to mob mentality. Everyone deserves thier day in court. Black or white skin. And American icons like Coke and Pepsi ought to know that.

If a public corporation does not want to be influenced by political pressure, perhaps they should not be members of political organizations.

Bottomline is that Coca Cola is one of ATLANTA'S oldest and most successful companies and they DECIDED to cave to political pressure from a left-wing organization over the Martin case. Keep telling yourself that NO ONE cares but I got news for you. There are MILLIONS of Conservative Americans who are sick to tired of these left wing groups boycotting any and everything they can find. I bet Coke has plenty of there own ATLANTA based employees who dont support this knee jerk reaction.
Interesting. With MILLIONS of people so sick of this, your post was the first I have heard of this issue...and I even have a couple of right-wing friends.

And lets make sure were clear that rabid fundamentalists on BOTH sides of the political spectrum are dragging either Trayvon or Zimmerman through the mud. This is most certainly NOT just a left-wing thing. So you can just cut that crap right now.

I, for one, support Coke in their decision to just get out of it. They didn't leave this group that you apparently find so admirable, and then join a pro-Tayvon group...they just pulled out of it altogether. Nothing wrong with that.

Your anger is so seriously misguided.

I;'m going to go grab a Coke right now.

This doesn't belong in the Atlanta forum, and it's sad that some people will search for anything, no matter how far removed, that will somehow make the Martin case relevant to Atlanta.

Legal system? Do their job? Isn't that exactly why this case is where it is now for them NOT doing their job?

Ugh, the annoying thing about making these Trayvon Martin posts in the Atlanta forum is that you KNOW that in the back of the posters head they are thinking " there is a lot of black folk in the metro/forum so this may bring up a rise".

Here is the Orlando thread : Sanford chief: Shooting death of Miami teen not enough evidence to arrest shooter.,

that's the only place outside the political/racial forums people need to talk about this.

How do you know Coke bowed to political pressure?

It sounds like they were involved with this organization to support legislation that would help their business.

Maybe when they found out that the organization also supported controversial legislation they decided on their own accord to stop supporting them.

It's just good business.
