Corinth splits the line of one county considered Metro Atlanta and one county that's not, so I wouldn't say Corinth is "definitely" Metro Atlanta. The others are pretty much at the fringe edge of the metro..."definitely" is a bit of a stretch.

Yes, they are fringe/edge...that's my point. We ain't talking about degrees of "Metro-ness" here. Either you're in (Metro), or you're ain't.

Their counties are prime Metro, as you know.

I said it was debatable. Waleska? My friend in Lake Arrowhead is always crowing about how happy she is to be out of the metro. And for me, going to Gibbs Gardens in Ball Ground is a day trip!

Technically. But if anyone in Waleska or Ball Ground said they were "from Atlanta," they'd definitely get the side eye from me--and I seriously doubt folks there identify with Atlanta in the first place.

Going up I-75, I think Canton is probably the upper boundary where identification with Atlanta would be justified.

Yes. Canton/Woodstock on the NW side
Suwanee/Winder on the NE side
McDonough on the SE side
Newnan/PTC on the SW/South side

I don't know if I'd consider Pickens county as "Prime Metro". It's population is about 30,000 with a density of 127 per square mile. Nothing prime about that.

I'm talking about Cherokee County. South Nelson is in Cherokee County.
