Looks like Reynoldstown is getting a Salt Factory Pub.

Salt Factory owner F&H Food Trading Group signed a lease to take over an unoccupied spacewithin the Madison Yards mixed-use development in Reynoldstown. F&H Partner Hicham Azhari told Atlanta Business Chronicle he hopes to open the gastropub in about six months. Salt Factory's buildout is estimated to cost $1.25 million, according to a building permit application filed with the City of Atlanta.

F&H describes Salt Factory as "an upscale gastropub that offers modern and approachable cuisine with an unbeatable beer list." The original location in downtown Roswellin 2008. F&H added an Alpharetta outpost in 2013 and expanded the brand to Woodstock in 2015.

Looks like Forsyth is getting a mega spa. Makes me wonder if they are going after the Microsoft crowd.

An Atlanta startup plans to build a hot springs and spa in Forsyth County, the largest project of its kind in North America, says its founder.

Premium experiences: Passport Springs & Spa will be divided into four pavilions that will replicate hot springs in Costa Rica, Israel, Japan and Rome, Italy. The venue's mini oases will be designed to resemble the architecture, landscape, sights, sounds and culinary fixtures of those four locations. The spa will not have a hotel but Bloch said it could bring customers looking for overnight stays to the doorsteps of nearby hotels. "We plan to bring in hundreds of thousands of people that seek premium experiences per year," Bloch said.

Looks like Alpharetta is getting a luxury dog park and restaurant.

Alpharetta could soon be home to Off Leash, a “luxury” dog park with a full-service restaurant. Lonnie Cooper Ventures, a subsidiary of Cooper Holdings, INC., is seeking a Conditional Use Permit from the City to operate Off Leash, at 142 South Main Street and 125 Norcross Street, according to an application set to be heard on May 11, 2022.

The properties “are vacant and present an ideal opportunity for a new pedestrian and dog-friendly business in Downtown Alpharetta,” according to the application.

That's where the old Eckerd/Rite-Aid was. I tried to get film developed there during the recession. They had closed the one-hour development station and had to send it off to a lab somewhere. I was shocked.

Preliminary plans for the redevelopment include retaining 110,000 square feet of office space and supplementing it with up to 800 apartments, 150 townhomes, 200,000 square feet of retail and a civic building, according to a Developments of Regional filing.

The developer makes a point of saying that this will not be Avalon 2.0. It also looks like it will be part of a broader plan in Johns Creek to create a sort of downtown.

Any word on if the plan includes razing the existing office buildings?

It'll be Avalon 2.0. How could it not be? It will have all the same elements. Lots of parking being one.

There may be some aesthetic type differences, and it may have a city hall/municipal element to it, but yeah. Presumably it will have all the usual mixed uses.
