Looks like Sandy Springs is feeling some urban growth pains.

Quote:
Neighbors of the Hub hotel say it’s a menace, and the city of Sandy Springs says it violates zoning ordinances. But an attorney for the extended-stay hotel says it’s operating within the law.

The Hub’s lawyer, William Galloway, says he will appeal to superior court the city’s decision that the property is violating zoning ordinances by operating as a dorm. But Galloway said the hotel’s owners want to work with neighbors and the city to come to a resolution without involving a judge.

I was impressed to learn the facility will provide 450 jobs. Hopefully the one planned on the west side will provide just as many.

Now, Tarnisha, in another thread you admonished someone not to be rude to other posters... And, the poster posted that comment only once.

Next to the new Braves stadium development... 600 more units of luxury apartments will be visible from this vantage point alongside beautiful townhomes just inside of Smyrna, which also abut the new Braves development. The apartments will be just outside of Smyrna, next to the Braves stadium, but are not part of the Braves development.

The new apartments

This new development is the first of new things attracted by the Braves. Even before the Braves, 2,000 new units in midrise have sprung up in the last few years in Cumberland. This is likely to accelerate now that the Braves are coming.
