Have tried a few random spots, but nothing has blown me away..

Any recommendations on the best Greek food in town?

I always enjoy Kyma in Buckhead. It offers upscale Greek inspired food with an emphasis on seafood, but other good options as well. The bar atmosphere is nice as well.

I've heard the Marietta Diner does some Greek food well.

Have you tried Taverna Plaka on Cheshire Bridge Road?

I'd second that. For more casual dining try Cafe Agora in Buckhead or Makara's in Sandy Springs.

Grecian Gyro

Grecian Gyro Atlanta, GA

Best quick service Greek in town. These guys have been in Atlanta for over 30 years, and they're just adding their newest store in Johns Creek this summer.

Taverna Plaka is great for atmosphere, no doubt. But last time I was there, it was like they opened a jar of dried oregano and poured heaps of it over my entire meal. Major miss on the food.

Kyma to me is very sub-par and probably over stayed its useful life, and it's one of the under-performing buckhead restaurants around. When you walk in, it reminds me of a poorly kept lounge from a SKYY vodka ad campaign from the 90's. Atlanta fish market has better seafood overall.

Ate here and thought it was awful. Not even sure it what I ate was lamb or Cheshire Bridge Road kill. Will never go back.

Nick's Food to Go. This place looks like a hole in the wall and Nick can be really grumpy sometimes. But I still go in at least once or twice a week. His daughters usually work at the Greek Festival every year.

Nick's Food To Go - Atlanta, GA

Not a sit down place. You can only get the food to go. This place has the best Gyros of anywhere around. The Souvlaki ones are also pretty awesome (it's pork and was the original Gyro before lamb).
