My mother used to say her friends in Kirkwood thought they were better than the rest of us. Of course that was nearly 60 years ago.

East Lake has a higher avg. income, Edgewood has made huge strides. I always like the architecture of Edgewood as I walk down Mayson Ave to the retail district. And you gotta think all 3 neighborhoods came together and fought to keep Coan M.S. open.

As a resident of Edgewood it has made great strides. It does have some way to go depending on the street, but its the same way in Kirkwood. However, Kirkwood has moved faster than Edgewood. The entire East Atlanta has grown on the positive side.
