I've had fairly good experiences with DDS.

If you want to experience some real pain, try getting anything done at a DMV in Los Angeles. It takes so long that people have been known to order pizza! After that, GA DDS will seem like a dream.

You don't have to go to the DDS within the county you live but you do have to go to the tag office within the county you live. I think it's funny (and cute) we call it DDS and tag office. In NY, we call it the DMV and a license plate and we go to the same dreadful place for both. The DMV is never fun and that is why I was so surprised it was so easy for me! I think early in the morning is a good time to go and I did go on a Tuesday. My hubby said when he got there at 2pm, it looked like it was packed with everyone that just woke up to start their day. The earlier the better!!

Not anymore until you fulfill the Secure ID requirements.
