IT positions are pretty strong right now. I'm looking for a new position in IT and I just posted my resume yesterday and I've already been getting a lot of emails/calls.

Like I've told people, there's plenty of software engineering jobs. I plan to post my resume online soon after being with the same company for 6 years. However, the $110K average number is complete bull****.

35 positions probably equals 5-10 engineers. They may make $88-$105K but the P.M., B.A.'s, QA, other business folks will make far below that.

Kind of the same deal with me, been with the same company 5 years but kind of realized I should be making more than I am. Their loss.

yep, good luck, the minute you post online you'll get tons of calls. I've got people from 6 years ago that have been calling me non-stop for the last year trying to get me to leave.

The economy as a whole sucks, but engineers are in high demand and there's not enough talent pool.
