America's Melting-Pot Cities - Jobs & Economy - The Atlantic Cities
Atlanta has 2.1% of naturalized citizens with a 50/50 split of low-skill and high-skill labors. The article reports that legal immigration is a powerful driver of economic growth development. I can say that no other metro in the SE is as diverse as Atlanta. Miami ranks higher, but all are from Latin America. Dallas and Texas rank higher, but its central American immigrants. Atlanta has immigrants from all over world, Asian, European, Latin and South American, and African.

Not surprised at all.I have been saying this for years.Whats noticeable is the gap between number 7(Boston) and Atlanta at 10.Its less than a 1 percent difference.

You left off Houston which probably beats Atlanta. It also gets immigrants from around the world and one of the largest Asian populations outside NYC, Hawaii and California.
