We have been here since 2000 and totally love it ! We have found it a great place to raise our kids . We love getting on the golf cart paths and going all over the place , playing at the parks and walking around the lakes. We have found it a fun place to live.

Peachtree City has a very low crime rate . It is a place where we feel totally comfortable walking around and being out and about doing errands and such.
You can find out some more information by going to a site called zip skinny which can give you statistics of all kind for any community you are considering.Peachtree City's is 30269 and Tyrone's is 30290.
Tyrone is a really neat old town. They also have alot of newer developements both commercial and non that are really nice .
We have great schools in Peachtree City and I have never heard any thing bad about Tyrone's either.

You also asked about weather and traffic here. The weather in general is great . We do have 4 seasons here . Winters are very mild . We do go below freezing but a typical winter day will have highs in the 50's . Summer highs are in the 80's to 100.
Traffic from here to down town Atlanta is much lighter than on the northside. It is about a 40 minute commute to downtown depending on where you are heading.

We just visited Peachtree City-it is a really neat place. A very unique upscale community tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Atlanta. Housing was a bit older and you dont get as much house for your money as you would in the neighboring towns but it seems worth it. Also, not sure if this is an accurate statement or just what I experienced, but it didnt seem that most people were from GA there. Didnt hear alot of accents at all.

Peachtree city is Delta town. A lot of Delta employees live there. The good high school districts are Starr Mills and McIntosh.
There is downside to live in peachtree city. Most job centers in Atlanta metro are located on the northern side of downtown (midtown/buckhead, downtown, perimeter center, Norcross, Cumberland Mall area and Alpharetta). Peachtree city to downtown is 50 to 1 hour (since Peachtree city is not direct on the highway). So unless one can find a job in airport or downtown, the driving can be a problem. A coworker of mine live in Peachtree city, but he had several jobs in buckhead, perimeter center and Gwinnett. Those are long drives.

It takes me a little less than that to get to downtown. Do you drive it often?
