Former Grady CEO robbed at gunpoint *| ajc.com

What a strange story... Why would you argue with someone who had a gun and wanted your wallet in an attempt to keep your credit cards but offer up your cash. You aren't going to be responsible for the charges if your card was stolen. That is so odd. Not to mention reckless.

And... doesn't' it seem like if you were following someone who had just robbed you that you would have gotten the license tag number?

Just odd.

I checked recent posts by pinetreelover and there were no crime posts started by this person. Where are the data to support your assertion that there are daily crime posts?

Crime is a part of Atlanta life. Why not deal with and discuss some of the more interesting situations?

Probably did not want to give the wallet/credit cards so the thief would not have his home address.

In the moment people can do some crazy things. I knew a fellow who was a very cultured gentleman. Yet when someone stole his car right in front of him at a gas station it was more than he could stand. His preacher happened to be filling up at the same time, and the two of them gave chase. After several miles the thief -- no doubt freaked out that two old guys in a Sedan de Ville were tailing him at 80 mph -- spun out on a side road, jumped out of the car and took off on foot.

My friend was severely scolded by the police. He told them he was terribly embarrassed and had just momentarily lost his senses. However, I always thought he was secretly proud of himself.
