I had posted in a different thread about looking for the same thing but also looking for a jewish community. Would you say that North Druid Hills, Virginia Highlands, or Morningside would fit my needs for that too? How do I find listings online in those neighborhoods?

Agreed, although if OP is willing to live in an apartment, that budget is more do-able.

$1200 is a good price range for a single family home with backyard in North Druid Hills.
