Thanks to all who replied. I guess it is down to convenience of location. Those who have expressed their option on best burger, thank you also. But according to travel companion, "We are going to Flips" thus another fine dining place is out of the question, this time. One more follow up question, Not sure of time of day we are stopping by to eat, and what type of neighborhood each location is in, thus would a late night bite, have any bearing on location decision.

Lame, there are better burgers. Vortex is even better.

I like Flip burger, if you're in the mood for off-beat gourmet mini burgers. It really isn't a typical burger joint, so it can't be compared to the likes of Farm Burger, Vortex, Grindhouse, and Yeah Burger. It does what it does, and it does it well. Don't miss the milkshakes.

This was my thought. I haven't been to Flip because I'm not an Urban Hipster, and because it just seems a bit too off the wall for me, but it's not really a place to compare to other burger joints. If someone is going to Flip, it's because the want a burger with foie gras and truffle aioli or pimento cheese and lemon sauce, not a normal burger.

I've eaten at Flip. The Howell Mill location, not the Buckhead one though I drive past it fairly often. I guess it's cool to go to say you've been there, but I really wasn't impressed AT ALL with the food (burgers). The concept of a gourmet burger joint is worth a visit to most, I suppose.

Oh good grief, Flip is great. It's fancy burgers so fancy prices, but ingredients are high quality and they are delicious, as are the sides (IMO they beat the milkshakes). I am a mom, not a hipster. I go fairly often with my family and have never caught attitude from staff or patrons. I think at any trendy spot, if you go looking for pretense, you can find it. If you go looking for a unique burger experience (even compared to Farm or Yeah Burger), then you will enjoy. Have fun!

I will never understand why people don't appreciate the point of paying over $14 for a hamburger.
