Hi
I need to know the name of the residential area right across Piedmont Park. I'm trying to get information for my sister but I myself just moved to Dacula 2 months ago. Price isn't an issue at this time.
any help will be appreciated.

Do you mean across 10th St, across Piedmont Ave, or across Monroe Dr? There are neighborhoods across from Piedmont Park on those 3 sides.

That would be the Piedmont Ave side of the park...the neighborhood across Piedmont is Ansley Park. It's boundaries are basically Peachtree St on the West, 15th St on the South, Piedmont Ave on the East, and Beverly Rd and Avery Dr on the North. It's listed on the National Register of Historic Places...

Thank you for the all the information. I am still learning my way around here. I thought that area was beautiful. Is crime a problem in that area or is it protected pretty well?

Crime is a big problem in that area. It's beautiful, indeed, but not what I'd consider safe. Consider Ansley Park as an alternative if price is not an issue.

Ansley Park is an upscale neighborhood with expensive homes, and is not an area that experiences a lot of crime. Some people assume that anything inside the city limits of Atlanta is unsafe...not true. Although I'm sure it's not crime-free, as no area is ever guaranteed to be, I've never heard of any problems with crime in Ansley Park.

I lived in that area for 2 years and never felt unsafe walking around alone (even at 2 am). My exact location was 14th st, in an apt 50 yards from a Park entrance. I never heard of a single major crime during my time there...only car break-ins when people left valuables in plain view. Let me know if you have any other questions about that area- it's a fantastic place to live.

Lets cover all the bases- Ansley Park to the north. Morningside to the northeast. Virginia- Highlands to the east. Midtown to the south.
And they all have their every own uniqueness.

Thanks for all the help. My sister will be flying in and I didn't want to waste time taking her to the wrong places. I will be taking her also to the Buckhead area. Any other suggestion will be great. They like mid town living where there's pleanty of people and lots to do. I also drove by candler park but didn't like it as much for her.
