I am a teacher by degree, experience, passion, and choice... even though I have spent the last 2 years as an innkeeper in western NC. I am looking to be somewhere near Gainesville, GA or even as far south as say Buford. Anyone out there know anything about these areas? Teaching jobs? Life with kids? Schools? I am a single parent and am looking for an area with a little spark and with a really family oriented community.

I am not sure about Gainesville (Hall County Schools) but you may want to look in Gwinnett County Schools (where Buford is). They always have a need for teachers, especially in that area. I know teachers that teach in that district and they like it a lot.

Gwinnett hires an average of 1500 (that's not a typo) teachers every year due to population growth.
