Default 2014: Ponce City Market vs Buckhead Atlanta

2014 is going to be a great year in Atlanta. Civil rights museum, College football Hof, Ponce City Market and Buckhead Atlanta will be complete. Which development will be better between Ponce City Market vs Buckhead Atlanta?

Boy, thats a tough one. One heralds new life for a landmark building in Atlanta and a key link in the Beltline chain, the other the rebirth of a once valued neighborhood.

I personally love both projects but I'm just a tad bit more excited about BA

I'd be more excited if they would call it Buckhead Village like everyone else does. I like the name Buckhead Atlanta about as much as I did Streets of Buckhead. Both names smell like a Mall.

the Market by far. The Buckhead project won't be relevant for most people and it's name is silly as well.

Ponce City Market for me. It's less stuffy, in a more diverse area, and more convenient since it's in my neighborhood.

I like BA more because it will give Atlanta back another walkable neighborhood. I counted about 15 closed stores in that immediate area. I'm sure business owners are looking at those vacant stores more now that construction has started. The only thing both areas need are some large hotels. BA has LQ a mile away, the Buckhead Theater across the street and over 20 bars in that immediate area.

You serious about BA not being relevant? You know it's not going to be all upscale

I went to the San Fran version on Ponce and I loved it

Exactly.

Just change the name to Buckhead Village already.
