"Don't be sorry for me. Be sorry for Clayton County," Kimbrough said. "I'll be fine but there are a whole lot of people's lives that will be affected by this and maybe they have to see this for themselves. It's something I've heard a million times; only in Clayton County. It is what it is."
It truly is one cluster____ of a county. Frightens me that this mess of a place is so close to home.

Clayton should be studied, written about, and taught as an example of WHAT NOT TO DO.

Indeed, for generations to come, Clayton County will be a petri dish for scholars trying to understand how everything can (and did) go wrong in suburban America.

When you look up the word "insanity" in the dictionary, the definition should read: CLAYTON COUNTY

The people of Clayton County have spoken, so why not respect their views?

So true. It's their funeral. Why shouldn't a county full of criminals have the chief law enforcement officer be a criminal, too?

Reminds me of the old FDR comment: "He may be an SOB but he's our SOB." People outside of Clayton may criticize the sheriff but he's mighty popular with the home folks.

Clayton County truly deserves its reputation as laughingstock of the Atlanta area. How stupid are the people who live there?

I would say I'm shocked, but what do you expect from a place so mismanaged and corrupt that they lost their school system's accreditation. It is sad to think that not too long ago, the place was actually a decent place to live.

At least they are forward thinking enough to try to join MARTA.

I haven't been to Clayton lately, but honestly the last time I drove through there it looked okay to me.
