I wish Morris Brown would stop dragging this out. They had more than one chance and they blew it.

With foreclosure looming Morris Brown College on the brink *| ajc.com

They can't run that campus with an enrollment of just 50 students. It should have merged with Clark Atlanta but I don't know what they can do at this point.

It should become a public university--a public university at the AUC would be great/beneficial.

Morris Brown State University.

MBSU!

With the state budget as it is, more cuts to the USG coming, MBSU is not happening. Merging with Atlanta Metropolitan has a better chance.

I think the Morris Brown Campus is a great expansion opportunity for the three other HBCUs located in the area.

Just let it go bankrupt and they can buy the buildings from a bank for a bargain.

In 2012, is there really a need for any university that self segregates?

Exactly.

You could still honor the tradition by having something like "the Morris Brown School of ___________ at Atlanta University."

It's not that rare for colleges to merge or close down. If your program isn't viable, then so be it. Give it your best shot and then move on.

It seems like they just keep delaying the inevitable. Personally, I think they should have either shut down or merged with another school back in 2003 when they lost SACS accreditation.

I understand the history and significance of the school, but it is what it is. This would not be first school to close and unfortunately may not be the last.
