Its been many years since I have tailgated at Turner Field and plan on doing so this weekend.

Do any of yall have any experience? I have a few questions.

-- What is the best place to park? Is the Blue Lot the best or should I try to find an unoffical lot?

-- What time do the lots open? Im trying to get there about 5 hours before game time, is it true that the offical lots only open 3 hours before game time

--Which lot will give us the most space to spread out? I will like some space to play cornhole, grill out etc..

-- Do you know of any lots where I can leave my vehicle overnight without getting towed? How safe is this given the neighborhood?

Thanks looking forward to see the Braves beat the Nationals!

Blue lot is easiest to get in and out of to get back to 75/85. It also doesn't fill up normally and if you get there early enough there is some nice green space on one end people set up in. Not sure about opening time or if you can park overnight(doubtful and I wouldn't in that area).

Thanks for the reply!

Do you know what time the blue lot opens?

Also what kind of crowd is ussally there, is more of a family atmosphere or more of a younger crowd. Am hoping for the younger crowd!

The Blue Lot has the best tailgate atmosphere. There is a wooded area in the middle of the parking lot (can't miss it), and the atmosphere is definitely not geared towards family. It's more like an SEC football game atmosphere. There are easier lots to get in and out of in my opinion, specifically the lots west of Turner Field. But if you are getting there that early, Blue is the way to go. I've never seen the three hour rule enforced, maybe it's new?
