Hard to say what it is. He doesn't likely subscribe to any organized religious viewpoint but he sounds somewhere between independent spiritualist and atheist.

He refuses to discuss abortion on his show because he knows how strong people's opinions are on that issue and that a rational, non-emotional discussion related to it is very unlikely to occur. No one will change his/her opinion on that issue based upon what they hear from a radio talk show host.
But Boortz has no compunction about himself discussing it. When he gets on his abortion soapbox my rule of thumb is to change the station immediately because I know he will talk so sanctimoniously on his position but will not entertain any counterpoints. He just seems so hypocritical when he does that. The only fair thing he can do is just not discuss it.

His libertarian opinion is "live and let live" up to the point that someone's else's actions negatively affect him or his family directly. Therefore, he is very critical of the "war on drugs," laws against prostitution, and laws preventing gay marriage or gay rights. Don't lump him in with Hannity, who is very clear on his religious/moral beliefs and discusses them openly. They are not interchangeable.
Yeah...that's a fair assessment.
