Differences between Alpharetta and Roswell?

Crime in Alpharetta for 2005 was 257.7 incidents.
Crime in Roswell for 2005 was 176.6 incidents.

I don't want to see Roswell get a bad rap! Both are great places to live and both have low crime rates.

I've lived, worked, and played in and around Roswell for many years... its a wonderful city.

Thanks to all of you for the great info. I'm thinking about making this move in approx. 1 year, and will have to find a job in the area as well. Probably will move, rent and look for a job, then make sure I like it there and buy. Hoping to find job on northside of Atlanta rather than commuting into city but may not have much of a choice in that. How far north does the MARTA go?

The MARTA North rail line ends at North Springs MARTA station between Peachtree-Dunwoody Road and Georgia 400 in Sandy Springs/Dunwoody. Northridge is exit 6 in Sandy Springs.

The commute is probably worse from Alpharetta than from Roswell. They are around the same area but Alpharetta is a little farther north on GA400....
