Looks like Cox is expanded its footprint in Sandy Springs...

"Atlanta-based Cox Enterprises said Friday it will build a 19-story building at its Sandy Springs campus, a significant move amid a sluggish commercial real estate market..."

Great news for the Perimeter area. I'd love to see pictures of what it will look like if anyone has them!

I guess Cox is doing pretty well so they can stop littering our streets with their spam papers.

Cox...

Yeah. Fitting name for that organization.

Isn't a large part of Perimeter Center in Sandy Springs? I know it gets credit for having a pretty decent number of highrises.

60% Sandy Springs. 40% Dunwoody. Perimeter Summit is in the new city of Brookhaven.

Most of the retail is on the Dunwoody side and a majority of the office space is in Sandy Springs.

Nope, nothing is taking shape there. Perimeter has been an edge city for years. Cox just added two other highrises to their campus in the last year... this third one might fill in some empty space but it's not going to change much about the area.

Sometimes it takes decades to take shape, cities aren't built overnight. I watched 10 years of Midtown rebuilding/growth while I lived down there in the 00s. Having moved up here about 5 years ago I've seen quite a bit of construction in the SS/Dunwoody area both in the office space, retail, and higher density residential. It's nothing on the scale of Midtown or Buckhead but it's developing...
