Other options are Chamblee or Brookhaven. They are both close to MARTA stations (which have park and ride). John's Creek is well Northeast of the the city, virtually on the opposite side of the metro area from the airport. MARTA doesn't go to John's Creek. So you'd have to drive to get to that area. I'm not knocking Inman Park at all. It's a REALLY nice neighborhood. But it's also going to be more expensive. You didn't mention a budget, so I thought I'd throw that out there.

Oops sorry, you did mention a budget. That monthly rent would allow you to live in IP.

There are tons of new apts in Old 4th Ward and Inman Park.
