SlowDriver, thanks. The constant rain and storming is not favorable. Is this usually the case year-round?

It mainly happens sometimes during summer (back to back thunderstorms). Not to worry, it's not year-round

This year is particularly rainy. We are way, way above average rain levels.

I love the winter down here.. not too cold, especially since I am used to NY's blizzards ahhhh!!!! I love/miss the hot chocolate with fuzzy blankets. These weekly t-storms are not cool.

Are bugs a major concern for GA homes? I am thinking of hiring an exterminator and just do a good round around the house. It's a new construction house about to be finished in about a month, and we cannot stand seeing bugs. We are clean freaks. What are your opinions?

Yes. By all means have the exterminator come out once construction is complete.
