Exactly. If they Braves had lost fairly, that would be one thing, but to blow the entire postseason because of ONE rogue umpire!?!? In my mind, the Braves didn't even lose the game, the umpire did. Saying "the Braves lost" implies that we did our best, the Cardinals did their best, and the Cardinals's best was a little better than our best...but that's not what happened.

So I guess the 3 head-scratching throws had nothing to do with why they lost? Did they at least fill the stadium this time?

It was not a good call but that's part of the game of baseball. Some calls go your way and some don't.

Let's not forget that the Braves had virtually beaten themselves with 3 pretty ridiculous throwing errors.

Oh, for heavens sakes, that bad call should not even had a made a difference! Braves should have won even with it. Besides, the ump and refs didn't score 6 runs on us. And, no, there is never a time to throw trash onto the field. Did those folks also volunteer to clean up the field? What if something had hit someone in the head or eye???? Sorry, THOSE fans deserve to be disappointed. More hooligans than fans...

The stadium was maxed at more than 57,000. That's why the National Guard was on call after the fans threw trash on the field, there was no way CSC security could handle that many people.

over 50 grand of fans, were there many Cards fans there? Because sometimes when Yankees & Cubs come to town, they tend to take over the Ted.

I see remarks made about middle class, white collar, blue collar etc , imo what the fans did was LOW CLASS...Sure a bad call angers but that reaction is unacceptable especially when it could have resulted in injury.

Going to actually see a game today is unbelievable..people getting beat up bad just because they are cheering for the other team, and it's happening all over, friendly banter/heckle is ok but should never get physical. One of the reasons many stadiums no longer serve beer after a certain, quarter, inning etc.....pretty soon they will ban alcohol all together.

Between actions like this, fights and the price of tickets it's more enjoyable to watch at home on a big screen tv with some friends.....
