A pretty large group of students, myself included, are heading down to the ATL next weekend. We'll be arriving way early Friday morning (the 19th) and will be leaving sometime on Sunday. We're going to have quite a bit of free time during the weekend to just do whatever and explore the city, but won't really have the means nor desire to do all the expensive touristy stuff. So my question to y'all is this: what is going on that weekend or, more generally, what is there for us to see and do? It's kinda weird labeling my friends, but think bohemian and/or awkwardly cool types, if you know what I'm sayin', mostly aged 19-21. I'm sure, once we're down there, some of the locals will be able to point us in the right direction, but I'd really appreciate your insight! This will be my first time in Atlanta and I'm actually considering relocating there after graduation, so I'm pretty stoked for this trip!

You can buy pets from street vendors downtown, among other things:

^^Do this. If you don't have a car, you can Take MARTA to the Inman Park/Reynoldstown station. From there, it's an easy walk to Little Five Points. Actually, that's probably what you should do even if you do have a car. It's gonna be mobbed and there won't be enough parking.

It really is the best advice. Went last year and even MARTA was packed with people going to the parade. Afterwards stick around and hangout at the bars, restaurants, and shops.
