Atlanta dentist
Let me say that I HATE going to the dentist, however it is time for a cleaning and some minor repair work. I want a dentist that is attentive to my specific needs as I have had major dental work in the past. I want a gentle, relatively pain-free experience.
What dentist in the Atlanta area (midtown, Decatur, Buckhead) would you recommend?

Various people in my family have gone to Carol Wolff (in Buckhead) for 20 years or so. She and her staff are excellent, use the latest technologies (including flat screen tv's above their new chairs) and she also does some things that often get sent to periodontists (eg root canals).
Her prices are a little bit higher than average, but having listened to friends that go elsewhere, I'm certain that her work is much better quality than average. |

Susan Rifkin is the best dentist in Atlanta (IMO). Her office is in Dunwoody right at the corner of Abernathy and Mt. Vernon. 770-393-0800

I am casting my second vote for Dr. Carol Wolff. I have been a patient of her for almost 10 years. She has all the gizmos and thus - you do pay a little bit more. She is also past president of the Association of Georgia Dentists (or whatever the name is of their professional organization).
I agree with you - going to the dentist is never fun but she and her staff is very gentle. Beside - you can get a little massage as you are getting you teeth cleaned while sitting in the examination chair. Here is her contact information:

Thanks for the dental referrals! Our family needs to find an Atlanta dentist (within the perimeter).
Also, any thoughts on orthodontists? Unfortunately, both our teens need braces

What about dentists comparable to Carol in the No. burbs - near Suwanee area? And does Carol see children? My son's dentist had the latest gadets here in IL and I'd like to find someone comparable in GA.
