Maybe, maybe not, but they certainly do far more than their fair share of whining.

If you don't like paying a lot in property taxes, buy a cheaper house. Otherwise, suck it up. Nobody wants to hear the whining.

Nobody's complaining about property taxes -- people are used to that. They're also used to the fact that most of their tax dollars will be spent elsewhere in the city.

It's the bullying and mistreatment that's got people upset.

For example, why should Buckhead get only 4 out of 112 security cameras? Despite the fact that one guy in Buckhead alone donated $1 million to support the program?

Why should Buckhead be left to take care of its own parks?

Why should the funding for Buckhead schools be at the bottom of the heap? Even though Buckhead takes care of nearly all the Hispanic students, many of whom are high need kids?

What parks? Buckhead has one of the lowest concentration of parks in the city. Look around the Buckhead CBD, there are no public parks.

Well, Chastain is the largest park in the city.

Then there's Atlanta Memorial, which is about 200 acres.

There are smaller ones like Tanyard Creek, Peachtree Hills, Bagley, etc. But you are right that Buckhead is short on park space.

Have you seen the plans for a park along GA 400 between the NS/Gold Line Tracks and the freeway http://livablebuckhead.com/sustainab...2/ga400-trail/. A greenway would be created to the BeltLine near Lindbergh and north to Peachtree Park.

I have and it looks great. They'll have to rely on private financing of course.

Perhaps those descendants of free blacks after Reconstruction who worked ,had land taken yet paid taxes in Buckhead also think that way.

Really?Because Boston is only 83sq mi,Miami is 55 sq mi,Philly is 138sq mi
