Here is the link to the story: Agents shoot man during alleged drug bust in Paulding County - Dallas News | myFOXdfw.com

Paulding man shot by drug agents was armed with pepper spray | www.ajc.com

I remember hearing gunshots when I was outside. One of my neighbors told me a news chopper was flying around. When I started reading, it kind blew my mind, and then it didn't. The shooting happened on Nebo Road, and I live in a subdivision about a mile or two away from where the shooting happened. I've always been creeped out by Dallas-Nebo/Nebo Rd area. In a way, it didn't surprise me. However, it isn't everyday I hear gunshots nearby.

I've got more details: Man fatally shot by police serving warrant at Paulding Co. home | www.wsbtv.com

From what I've hearing, the person who was shot was a 60 year-old with arthritis and didn't have a gun on him.

Basically. I knew there are issues with the Paulding County police, but shooting someone in their home, and the person was an unarmed elderly person. Granted, this was a drug bust, but still, this is crazy.

The fact that the police suspect drugs doesn't increase or decrease their authority to shoot people.

There was really no excuse for this. However, it seems like alot of people in y subdivision don't know or don't care about what happened.

You are right. I didn't mean to imply any criticism of your post.

I was agreeing with what you were saying. I was also adding my own touch of cynicism on the situation.

I live very close to where the shooting happened. I think what is more surprising is that this isn't being talked about more. When something like this happens, I usually hear about it more.
