Does anyone have any recommendations of a good auto repair shop?? I'm relatively new to the area and I'm always wary of car repair shops as they are often known to recommend all sorts of repairs that you don't need. Any help appreciated!

Check out Barron's Garage at 1574 Garraux. Just off Howell Mill.

I'm in the same boat as the OP. I keep reading reviews online about car repair shops near the Midtown area but most seem either incredibly fake or just 100% negative.

For generic maintenance/repairs-- Lindbergh Exxon on Piedmont. I used their location at Moreland/Ponce for many many years...sad to see it go but I have received equally honest, decently priced service/maintenance/repair at the Lindbergh shop.

We also have a wide array of specialized shops depending on your make...aside from the typical German/Japanese specialists you can also find Italian, English, Swedish ones too. Howell Mill and the south side have tons of repair shops. Depending on your needs you can find more specialized shops in Marietta and in Chamblee/Doraville area if you are willing to drive a little further.

Quantum Mechanics if you are looking for something in Decatur and driving an import. Really smart, energetic, professional shop. Clean enough to eat of the floors, and pretty much flawless reviews via Yelp and similar sites.

As the OP, I wanted to revive this thread. I know someone mentioned Barron's, but does anyone else have any personal experience with them or OTHER auto-repair (I'm looking for a place to maintain a regular Toyota) in Buckhead/Midtown area?

THANKS.

I forgot the name of it but it is next door to Follies on Buford Hwy. They are great!
