AWESOME! - thanks for the pointers so far! So narrowing it down...I'm reading Decatur, VA Highlands, Conyers, Grant Park & Lake Claire all fit the bill.

From my preliminary Decatur & VA Highlands seem to be the most appealing. Any details and thought on these, pro/cons, what side of these towns have a youthful vibe, good mix of everything and close to the I-20? Will I be doing a reverse commute or stuck up with others in traffic on the way to Social Circle?

This is exciting - I love this site!!

Both VA-HI and Decatur have a youthful appeal...VA Hi has more restaurants & bars compared to Decatur. Plus you are a tad closer to Lil Five Points. Atleast, from what I've seen. I might be incorrect though.

They are both close to 20...VA Hi is closer (moreland avenue or freedom parkway to 75/85 to 20 etc etc).
Decatur...Hmm...I can't think of hitting 20 off my head...I know you can take Dekalb avenue back up to 285 @ memorial drive and head south to 20...I'll have to check google to give you another option...

Traffic wise...You will never hit traffic go or coming from work. When you heading to work on 20 east...It's a breeze...Traffic is light to moderate. Once you get passed Evans Mills road, you can put the pedal to the metal...Just watch out for the Conyers cops after exit 82, GSP and Newton County sheriff buts its pretty clear after that...

Going home...its the same thing...The only slow down, I can possibly think of is the 20 near 285 but most of those folks are heading east where you're coming from...You should be fine until you get to Moreland Avenue or Dekalb Avenue..You will see more traffic on the surfaces streets compared to 20...

Sorry for the long post...
